These days I get to read a whole load of new books, which usually keeps me distracted – but these three books keep popping up on twitter, in bookshops and all over the place, and I really want to read them!
1. Go Set A Watchman – Harper Lee
Obviously!!! The hype for this has been ENORMOUS. And who doesn’t want to find out more about Scout? Though the latest review I read said that it is certainly inferior to To Kill a Mockingbird, it also said that it’s a fascinating look at how the latter came to be. And I really enjoyed the first chapter, so I’m definitely going to get this soon!
2. The Gracekeepers – Kirsty Logan
The cover of this book has a girl and a bear in a coracle and exactly the type of image I would pin on Pinterest. Plus it has been likened to The Night Circus, one of my favourite books ever, and the summary sounds intriguing. It sounds pretty magical – though I’m a bit afraid it won’t be as good as I’m expecting!
3. The Bone Clocks – David Mitchell
I read Cloud Atlas, and though I’ve not re-read it at any stage it sticks firmly in my head as one of the best books I’ve read. Clever and compelling, groundbreaking and deeply affecting – it was fantastic! And I know he’s written other ones too, but this is the one that’s been around recently. And I want to read it please!
#1 can’t wait too read it
